1 teaspoon white sugar
5 freshs mint leaves

Place a tall glass in the freezer until frosted.

Stir water and sugar together in the prepared glass until sugar dissolved. Twist each mint leaf to release the scent and flavor; add to the glass. Pour bourbon into the glass, it should be about 1/4 full. Add ice and stir; garnish with a mint leaf.
