4 cups freshly chopped apples
2 cups white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 cups vegetable oil
2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan. Stir sugar and apples together; set aside. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together in a medium bowl.

Mix oil, eggs and vanilla together in a large bowl; add sugared apples. Stir in flour mixture and nuts. Pour cake batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven until cake springs back to the touch, about 45 minutes.
