  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. 2 Spread ketchup over the bottom of the loaf pan; spread brown sugar over ketchup.
  3. 3 Mix together ground beef, crackers, eggs, onion, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined. Form mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared pan. Lay bacon strips on top in a lattice or other pattern.
  4. 4 Bake in the preheated oven until juices run clear and bacon is cooked, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of meatloaf should read at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).
