I don't know where the recipe name, cry babies, came from, but the cookies are delicious. Store them for a couple of days to let the flavors of the spices build.

Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
0.33 cups unsalted butter

1 cup molasses
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
0.5 teaspoons ground ginger
0.5 teaspoons ground cloves
1 cup milk
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup raisins

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.

Beat sugar and butter together in a medium bowl until smooth; stir in molasses. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves together in a bowl; stir into molasses mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in chocolate chips and raisins.

Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
