Ingredients
6 ounces ground beef
2 ounces ground pork
tablespoons teriyaki sauce
, divided, or more as needed
1 clove garlic
1 2-inch) piece fresh ginger
, peeled
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 slices fresh pineapple
2 slices havarti cheese
, optional
0.5 cups coleslaw
2 brioches buns
Instructions
1
Combine beef, pork, and 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce in a small bowl. Using a microplane grater, grate the garlic clove and ginger into meat mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Mix to thoroughly combine. Shape mixture into 2 hamburger patties.
2
Preheat the grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Stir coleslaw and 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce together in a small bowl; set aside.
3
Grill pineapple slices on the preheated grill until tender with grill marks, turning once, about 6 minutes. Grill burgers over direct heat for 5 minutes; turn and grill until no longer pink at the center, about 3 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
4
To assemble, spread bottom bun with remaining 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce, place pineapple slice on top, then add hamburger patty, cheese, and coleslaw. Dress with additional teriyaki sauce if desired; top with top bun.
