🎉 PantryLink Update: Track Every Item Like Never Before

Say Goodbye to "Which Milk Expires First?" Forever

January 2026 — We've just rolled out the biggest update to PantryLink's inventory system since launch, and it's going to change how you manage your pantry.

The Problem We Solved

Picture this: You have three cartons of milk in your fridge. One expires tomorrow, one next week, and one you just bought. Until now, PantryLink could only tell you "You have 3 milks."

Not anymore.

Introducing Instances: Your Items, Individually Tracked

With our new Instances feature, every single item in your pantry gets its own identity. That means:

• 🗓️ Never waste food again — See exactly which items expire first, so you use them in the right order
• 📍 Find anything instantly — Track where each item is stored (that pasta in the basement? We've got you covered)
• 🏷️ Compare brands easily — Bought both name-brand and store-brand? Track them separately and decide which you prefer
• 📊 Smarter shopping — Know exactly how many you have, not just "some"

How It Works

When you view any item in your inventory, you'll now see an "Instances" dropdown. Click it to see every individual unit you own — complete with its expiration date, location, and brand.

Adding more? Just tap the + button to quickly add another of the same item. Need different details? The full form lets you customize everything.

• FIFO alerts — Get notified to use older items first
• Expiration forecasting — Know what's expiring this week at a glance
• Find expiring foods to use in recipes — Search recipes by your "expiring soon" inventory

The Instances update is available now for all PantryLink users. Just head to any item in your inventory and look for the new Instances section!
