🚀 Getting Started

1. Create Your Account

Sign up for free at app.pantrylink.app. You can also download our mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Create Your First Inventory List

Start by creating an inventory list for a location in your home, like "Kitchen Pantry" or "Garage Freezer". You can have multiple lists to organize different areas.

3. Add Items

Add items to your inventory by typing their name, or use the barcode scanner to quickly add products. Set minimum quantities to get low-stock alerts.

4. Create Shopping Lists

Create shopping lists manually or let PantryLink automatically generate them from your low-stock items. Assign lists to specific stores for organized shopping.

Inventory Lists

Organize your items by location using multiple inventory lists. Each list represents a physical location like your pantry, refrigerator, freezer, or garage storage.

Create unlimited inventory lists
Set a default list for quick item additions
Move items between lists easily
Share lists with your crew members

Adding Items

There are several ways to add items to your inventory:

Manual Entry: Type the item name and details
Barcode Scanner: Scan product barcodes for automatic info
Quick Add: Use the search to find and add common items

Low Stock Alerts

Set minimum quantities for each item. When stock falls below the minimum, the item appears in your low-stock list on the dashboard and can be automatically added to shopping lists.

🛒 Shopping Lists

Creating Lists

Create shopping lists for different stores or shopping trips:

Manual: Create a blank list and add items as needed
Auto-Generate: Use the magic wand button to generate a list from low-stock items
Assign each list to a specific store (Walmart, Costco, etc.)

Shopping Mode

While shopping, tap items to mark them as purchased. Purchased items are automatically added back to your inventory with the quantities you bought.

Store Management

Add your favorite stores in Settings → Stores. You can set preferred vendors for specific items so they automatically get added to the right shopping list.

📖 Recipes

Adding Recipes

Build your personal recipe collection:

Manual: Create recipes with your own ingredients and instructions
Import: Paste a URL from your favorite recipe website and we'll extract all the details
Add photos, cooking times, servings, and difficulty levels

Recipe to Shopping List

Planning to cook a recipe? Add missing ingredients directly to your shopping list. PantryLink checks your inventory and only adds what you don't already have.

👥 Crews (Sharing)

What are Crews?

Crews let you share inventory lists and shopping lists with family members, roommates, or anyone else. Everyone in the crew can view and edit shared lists.

Creating a Crew

Go to the Crews tab and tap "Create Crew"
Give your crew a name (e.g., "Smith Family")
Invite members by their email address
Share inventory and shopping lists with the crew

Roles & Permissions

Owner: Full control, can delete the crew
Admin: Can manage members and shared lists
Member: Can view and edit shared lists

🤖 AI Features

AI Meal Suggestions

Get personalized meal suggestions based on what's in your inventory. Our AI considers your available ingredients and suggests recipes you can make right now.

Smart Shopping Lists

The auto-generate feature uses AI to create optimized shopping lists based on your low-stock items, preferred stores, and shopping patterns.

📱 Mobile App

PantryLink is available as a native mobile app for iOS and Android. The mobile app includes:

Barcode scanning with your phone's camera
Push notifications for low-stock alerts
Offline access to your inventory and shopping lists
Quick add from your lock screen or home screen widget

💡 Tips & Tricks

✓ Quick Links: Set up Quick Links on your dashboard for one-tap access to your most-used lists.
✓ Categories: Organize items by category for easier browsing and smarter shopping lists.
✓ Locations: Add storage locations within each inventory list (e.g., "Top Shelf", "Door").
✓ Units: Use consistent units (lbs, oz, count) for accurate inventory tracking.
✓ Notes: Add notes to items for special instructions or preferences.
