This jackfruit meat substitute acts like pulled pork and will fool any meat eater! Get the potato chips and coleslaw ready, because you are about to have a picnic.

Ingredients

  • 1 can jackfruit in brine , 16 ounce
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
  • 2 tablespoons margarine , such as Earth Balance®
  • 4 hamburgers buns , split

Instructions

    Remove all seeds from jackfruit. Combine jackfruit and BBQ sauce in a slow cooker. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours.

    Use a fork to shred jackfruit meat. Spread margarine on hamburger buns and place a scoop of jackfruit "meat" on top. Serve immediately
