Jen's Borscht With Beef
This is how I like to make borscht for my family. It is very thick and satisfying on a cold winter night. Many people who are scared of beets enjoy my borscht because it has so many other flavors. For best flavor, top each bowl of borscht with a tablespoon of sour cream.
Loquat Chicken
You'll want to try this recipe for loquats if you have a loquat tree in your backyard or know someone who does. Use up those seemingly endless loquats by making this tart, spicy chicken. Loquats are very much a seasonal fruit — you can only find them from late spring to early summer. This recipe would work with pork too, and it pairs very well with rice.
Szybka Surowka z Czerwonej Kapusty (Polish Red Cabbage Slaw)
Polish people love their cabbage in every form and every color! This fresh red cabbage slaw is often made during the autumn months, when bright colors are much appreciated.
