This cherry smash recipe is a variation of a whiskey cocktail. It's a sipping drink and so good. Super swanky and very retro with a modern take. It's my new favorite cocktail.
Ingredients
- 3 frozens cherries
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 cup ice , or as needed
- 2 fluids ounces rye whiskey , such as Michter's
- 1 fluid ounce sweet Italian vermouth
- 0.5 fluids ounce simple syrup
- 0.5 teaspoons lemon juice , or to taste
Instructions
-
1
Place cherries in an old-fashioned glass; splash with bitters. Mash cherries with a cocktail muddler until desired consistency.
-
2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add rye, vermouth, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain cocktail into glass over cherries.

Great Apple and Carrot Muffins
Very moist and good for you too! I adapted this recipe from a cake recipe, so it's yummy, but also quite healthy.
Potato Chip Pizza
The first time I saw potatoes offered as a pizza topping, I thought that was one of the dumbest things I had ever seen. But then I tried it and realized that if done properly, they can be a fantastic pizza topping. The only problem is they're extremely hard to do properly since they need to cook through by the time our crust is done, which, long story short, led me to try potato chips, which worked out astonishingly well.
