Pissaladière (Southern French "Pizza")
Chef John's pissaladiere, a Southern French classic, is the most delicious pizza that doesn't contain cheese. It's a homemade flatbread topped with caramelized onions, anchovies, and olives, with an added bonus: you'll see how to soak anchovies to remove a lot of of the salt.
Microwave Bread-and-Butter Pickles
This microwave bread-and-butter pickles recipe is like a bread and butter pickle, and really super easy. You can even play with the proportions a bit; I like to increase the vinegar, salt, and spices, or you could make it sweeter. Be prepared to make this one over and over if you have any pickle lovers in the house.
