This cinnamon apple syrup, simply simmers apples with sugar and cinnamon. It makes a great sundae topping over vanilla ice cream, or as a pancake topping! Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.
Ingredients
- 2 tarts apples , peeled, cored, and sliced
- 0.5 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water

Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and water in a saucepan; stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low; simmer until apples soft and syrup thickened, 10 minutes. Serve over pancakes or ice cream.
