Potato Klubb (Norwegian Potato Dumplings)
This is a traditional Norwegian main dish. My grandmother always served it with fresh peas. As good as the potato klubb are the first day, they're even better the second day sliced and fried in butter until golden brown. We like to have them for breakfast with fried eggs.
Pecan Pie Bites from Scratch
A family favorite during the holidays. Easy to prepare and a fun dessert to make with kids.
Gram's Ham Loaf
Gram's famous recipe for western Pennsylvania ham loaf is the perfect way to use leftover smoked ham after Christmas or Easter. Be sure to serve it with a generous amount of sauce. We use a hand-held meat grinder belonging to my husband's great-grandmother — it is somewhat nostalgic and doesn't take long.
