An easy mojito recipe to enjoy at home. It's hard to find mojitos at any of the restaurants in the small town I'm in, and when I tried to make my own using club soda, they never seemed to turn out right. Using lemon-lime soda instead also cuts down on the amount of sugar usually used.
Ingredients
- 12 leaves mint
- 2 limes slices
- 1 teaspoon white sugar , or more to taste
- 0.25 cups ice cubes , or as needed
- 1 jigger rum , 1.5 fluid ounce
- 4.5 ounces diet lemon-lime soda , such as Diet Sprite
Instructions
-
1
Gather all ingredients.
-
2
Place mint leaves, lime slices, and sugar in the bottom of a glass and muddle with a spoon until mint is crushed.
-
3
Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour rum then soda over the ice; stir.
-
4
Enjoy!

Billy's Favorite Gingerbread Spiced Coffee Syrup
This is a delightful spicy syrup that you can use to spice up coffee, tea, apple cider, you name it, it's all good! Add a tablespoon to your favorite beverage, or use it in whipped cream, or brush it on cakes. Drizzle it on yogurt, oatmeal, or pancakes - the possibilities are endless!
Coconut Cream Cake
This coconut cream cake is easy to make using a white cake mix and creamy coconut sauce. You may reduce the amount of sauce if you prefer, and it will still be delicious.
Dave Matthews
This drink originated in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. There are several different variations. I added the lime juice myself for the extra zing. Very fruity to cover the taste of alcohol. The primary flavours are coconut and pineapple. Garnish with a cherry, some orange peel, or a lime wedge.
