Siopao (Filipino Steamed Dumplings)
Warning - this recipe is not easy, but well worth the effort. This is a Filipino dish with Chinese roots. A steamed, almost sweet, yeasty bun filled with delicious chicken filling can also be made with shredded pork. You will need a bamboo steamer.
Two Meatballs in One
This is a sweet Italian sausage meatball tucked inside of a beef meatball. Very yummy and a great conversation starter. This is a labor intensive effort, but it is one of the most flavorful and moist meatballs I've ever eaten. It is also a very fun way to serve a very standard but beloved dish. Serve with your favorite pasta.
Favorite Apple Galette
Look no further if you love pie and your favorite part is the pastry. This easy apple galette is sure to become a new family favorite. The pastry dough is almost like a shortbread. It would also go well with pears or peaches. You don't even necessarily have to peel the apples!
