This chicken dish is straight from the Szechuan province of China and it is hot! It is known in China as Chong Qing Lazi Ji. Unfortunately, substituting black peppercorns for Szechuan will not taste right.

- 2 cups dried chilies , chopped
- 2 tablespoons Szechuan peppercorns

Reheat the reserved oil in the wok over medium-high heat; cook and stir the garlic, ginger, and green onions in the oil until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the green chilies, crushed dried chilies, and Szechuan peppercorns; continue frying about 20 seconds more. Return the chicken to the wok; stir in the soy sauce, 2 teaspoons cooking wine, sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until thoroughly combined. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Buttermilk Sausage Gravy
This is my husband's recipe that was handed down to him by his grandmother. His grandmother stated that you must use Farmer John® sausage and bacon drippings or it would not taste as delicious as hers. It was never written down, just a pinch of this and a handful of that. I finally got him to measure everything and this is the result.
Yorkshire Pudding
This Yorkshire pudding recipe is a yummy and traditional addition to the holiday feast. If you intend to make this, the timing has to be just right. I suggest preparing the mixture the evening before and having it ready while the roast beef is cooking.
