We have had this side dish for Thanksgiving and noticed that it is not as filling as the usual pecan-encrusted mashed sweet potatoes. At Thanksgiving that is a good thing!
Ingredients
- 1 can cut yams , 15 ounce
- 0.5 cups milk
- 0.5 cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter , cut into small pieces
- 0.5 cups coffee-flavored liqueur , such as Kahlua®
Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
2
Spread yams into a casserole dish. Pour milk over yams and sprinkle with brown sugar. Dot yams with butter pieces. Pour coffee-flavored liqueur over the top.
-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until heated through and bubbling, about 30 minutes.

Slow Cooker Barbeque
This slow cooker BBQ beef is an old recipe my mom used to make for us kids. It is so good it almost melts in your mouth! Serve on sub rolls.
Five-Ingredient Monkey Bread
I gave this monkey bread recipe to my daughter who has 6 children. They love this, and it is so simple they can make it themselves which they love to do. If desired, a thin mixture of powdered sugar frosting can be poured over warm biscuits.
Pulled Pork Chili Verde
All I can say is yummm! This is a different take on chili (with no beans) that I found absolutely delicious! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Enjoy with a dollop of sour cream and tortilla chips or use as a taco filling.
