Lobster Thermidor is surprisingly simple to make at home for a stunning meal for two. Lobster shells are stuffed with cooked lobster in a creamy white wine sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese, and broiled until golden.
Ingredients
- 1 medium (1 ยฝ pound) cooked lobster

- 0.25 cups heavy cream
- 0.5 teaspoons hot English mustard
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 0.25 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
-
1
Gather all ingredients.
-
2
Cut lobster in half lengthwise, and remove any meat from the claws, tail, and head. Cut meat into pieces and place back into the shells.
-
3
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallot; cook and stir until tender.
-
4
Mix in fish stock, white wine, and cream. Bring to a boil, and cook until reduced by half. Mix in parsley, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and pepper.
-
5
Preheat your oven's broiler. Place stuffed lobster halves on a broiling pan or baking sheet. Spoon sauce over the meat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Potato Cakes with Smoked Salmon
These potato cakes with smoked salmon are appetizers that feature golden, crispy potato patties made from shredded potatoes and smoked salmon, lightly seasoned and pan-fried to perfection. Each cake is topped with a dollop of sour cream, a slice of smoked salmon, and green onions.
Vanilla Cream or Sauce
This is really delicious on its own, but I use it mainly to serve alongside brownies, bread pudding, apple pie, berries, or poached pears. You can either make this as a thicker cream or as a sauce. I love it as a cream for berries, poached pears or brownies and as a sauce over apple pie or bread pudding. Serve chilled over warm or cool desserts or just eat it on its own as a custard.
