This mint julep sweet tea is a refreshing, cool-me-down drink made with bourbon and sweet tea. I muddle 4 mint leaves in each glass for extra mint flavor. It's optional, but I think it really adds to the drink.
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 0.75 cups fresh mint
- 0.5 cups sugar
- 4 bags herbal tea
- 6 fluids ounces bourbon
- 16 mints leaves
- 4 slices lemon
Instructions
-
1
Bring water, the 3/4 cup mint, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 1 hour.
-
2
Strain mixture into a pitcher and add bourbon. Stir until combined.
-
3
Muddle 4 mint leaves in a glass. Fill halfway with ice, add a lemon slice, and fill with more ice. Add tea bourbon mixture; garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon wedge.

Quiche Supreme
This is the best quiche recipe I've ever made! It's loaded with veggies, ham, and a variety of cheeses. It tastes so delicious, and the quiche freezes well after it is baked. Use ham, bacon, sausage, or any combination you'd like.
Macaroni and Cheese with Ham, Peas and Shallots
Macaroni and cheese is perfect supper food. It's a kids' favorite, and adults like it too. My recipe is simple and almost as quick as the boxed variety. Try this variation with ham, peas and shallots.
