Ingredients
- 3 packages microwave popcorn , 3.5 ounce
- 2.25 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk , 5 ounce
Instructions
-
1
Place popcorn into a large bowl. Shake the bowl and toss gently until unpopped kernels sink to the bottom. Discard unpopped kernels.
-
2
Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches the soft-crack stage. To test, the temperature should be between 270 to 290 degrees F (132 to 143 degrees C) and a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water should form hard but pliable threads.
-
3
Remove from the heat. Carefully pour condensed milk into the saucepan and stir until smooth.
-
4
Pour 1/4 of the caramel at a time over popcorn, stirring well after each addition.
-
5
Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Smoked Asparagus
Love smoked foods? Love asparagus? I experimented while smoking a turkey breast and came up with this mild but flavorful asparagus and garlic dish made originally in an iron skillet on the top of the smoker. If you like asparagus, you will love this! So far, everyone has enjoyed it. I hope you do, too.
Double Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes
Potatoes cooked in heavy cream with Parm cheese, topped with Cheddar cheese. Not for those on a low fat diet! I never use measurements, so go with your gut!
No-Beans-About-It Chili
This chili recipe has no beans and is packed with flavor. My husband won't eat beans but loves chili, so I had to create this variation on an old favorite. I used lots of canned tomatoes and onion in this dish which is great served over rice with shredded cheese and sour cream.
