Mango Relish
The sweet flavors of this mango relish create a zesty accompaniment to fish or chicken. Try pairing the condiment with Thai, Indian, or Caribbean dishes, or serve with tortilla chips. Besides lifting your taste buds, the relish will add texture and color to your plate.
Refrigerator Pickles
This recipe for refrigerator pickles with celery seeds was given to me by my late mother-in-law and makes use of the abundant summertime supply of cucumbers. A neighbor recently presented me with four (5-gallon) buckets of cucumbers from his garden, and I made pickles for the whole neighborhood. The pickles will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 2 ½ to 3 weeks.
Sourdough Scones
Looking for a way to use up some extra sourdough starter, I created this recipe. These scones bake up incredibly tender and moist, and my kids absolutely love the warm, cinnamon-rich flavor of the apple pie spice.
