I'm lucky to live in an area with an abundance of Korean restaurants, and this is my take on a local restaurant's Korean fried chicken. Serve chicken with cooked rice if desired.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups tapioca starch
- 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
- 0.75 teaspoons salt
- 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 pound boneless , skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- cooking spray
Instructions
-
1
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
-
2
Combine tapioca starch, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Dredge chicken pieces through the mixture.
-
3
Line a baking sheet with a cooling rack and place chicken on rack to let excess dredge fall off. Lightly grease chicken with cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket.
-
4
Cook in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
-
5
Combine tomato sauce, gochujang sauce, honey, and soy sauce in a small bowl and drizzle over the chicken pieces.

Instant Pot Honey-Glazed Ham
This recipe is for a bone-in, spiral-cut, pre-cooked ham. When you buy a spiral ham at the grocery store, it's almost always already fully cooked which means most of the time you just need to heat it through. The ham's packaging comes with suggestions about how long to cook or heat the ham and those suggestions always recommend using an oven. I'm here to tell you that I don't think I'll ever use an oven to warm a bone-in, spiral ham ever again after using an Instant Pot!
Miso Salmon
This Japanese-style broiled miso salmon is an easy recipe I came up with at the request of my family. It tastes just like some we've had at Japanese restaurants. Serve with sticky white rice and a light salad.
