- 2 cups chopped onion
- 2 cups chopped carrot
- 2 cups finely chopped celery
- 1.5 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 cup yellow split peas
- 1 cup green split peas
- 8 cups fat-free chicken broth
- 1.5 teaspoons salt-free seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon salt

Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic; cook and stir until onion is translucent, 5 to 7 minutes.
