This recipe for cabbage slaw is great on grilled fish tacos. Add additional jalapeño for more heat!

Ingredients

  • 0.5 medium head cabbage , shredded
  • 0.5 cups chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 0.25 cups thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper , seeded and diced
  • 0.25 cups olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pinch white sugar

Instructions

    Place cabbage in a large bowl with cilantro, onion, and jalapeño; toss to combine.

    Mix oil, lime juice, vinegar, salt, and sugar together in a small bowl. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Let sit on the counter for 1 to 2 hours, then drain. Serve at room temperature.
