My kids love these cheeseburger wontons and so does my husband. They can be made with any ground meat. I serve them with sweet and sour sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese , 8 ounce
- 1 package wonton wrappers , 12 ounce
- 2 cups vegetable oil , or as needed
Instructions
-
1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef; cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
-
2
Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon ground beef and 1/2 teaspoon cheese onto the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold each wrapper into a triangle and seal the edges together with water.
-
3
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Vegetable oil will be ready when bubbles form around the end of a wooden spoon inserted in the oil.
-
4
Fry wontons in hot oil until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove wontons with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

State Fair Lemonade
This lemonade recipe is for real, authentic, vintage lemonade —the kind you might enjoy on a hot summer day at one of those stands at the state fair. Most of us make lemonade just out of lemon juice, but as you may know, the oils in the lemon peel contain a tremendous amount of flavor, and once you drink this, you won't want to go back to drinking it how you used to.

How to Cook a Turkey
Learn how to cook a turkey with this simple recipe that's still the best. The biggest myth in American cookery is that a juicy, perfectly cooked turkey is difficult for the novice cook to achieve. Even if this is your first time, don't play scared; this will work! There is nothing to fear but the fear of dry turkey itself. Be sure to buy a meat thermometer before Thanksgiving; it will be the essential tool in the kitchen that day.
