This cream cheese frosting with brown sugar and honey is a nice alternative to the classic recipe. We use it to frost cocktail cake. Try it on applesauce, spice, banana, or carrot cakes.

- 1 package cream cheese , 8 ounce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter , melted and cooled
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon honey

Beat cream cheese, butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and almond extract with an electric mixer in a large bowl until mixture begins to stiffen.

Pour in honey. Continue beating until a whipped consistency is reached; do not overmix as it will collapse. Use immediately or store covered in the refrigerator.
