This is an easy, delicious quiche that takes no time to prepare using a frozen deep-dish pie crust, bacon bits, cream, and two types of cheese. I have made this for numerous brunches and everyone raves about it!
Ingredients
- 1 deep dish frozen pie crust , 9 inch
- 1 can bacon bits , 3 ounce
- 0.5 cups chopped onion
- 5 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
- 3 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 eggs , lightly beaten
- 1 cup half-and-half cream
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
-
2
Place unthawed pie crust in a pie pan on a baking sheet. Mix bacon, chopped onion, and both cheeses in a medium bowl. Pour this mixture into the crust.
-
3
Mix eggs and half and half in a bowl until blended; pour the egg mixture over the cheese mixture.
-
4
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake until the top of the quiche begins to turn golden brown, an additional 35 minutes.

German Schwenkbraten
Schwenkbraten was a family favorite when we were stationed in Germany with the Air Force. The pork chops are delicious with potato salad, a baguette, or crusty rolls. Hope you enjoy!
Cheesy Chicken Meatballs
I have abandoned fatty ground beef in favor of healthier options such as ground chicken and turkey. I can ensure with the perfect additions, these will not be bland nor dry - you will not be missing the beef here.
Chef John's Caramel Apple Pie
To me, this caramel apple pie is the purest and most intensely flavored apple pie there is. The interesting thing about this recipe is the way the caramel sauce is poured over the apples and the lattice crust, caramelizing as it bakes.
