I love a one-dish baking recipe because it cuts down on mess and clean-up! Unlike some gluten-free or grain-free baked goods, these almond flour brownies have a pleasant texture. Experiment by adding your choice of nuts, flavored chocolate chips, and different flavor extracts. Top with icing if you wish. At Christmas, adding crushed candy canes and 1 1/2 teaspoons mint extract makes for a nice holiday treat.
Ingredients
- 0.75 cups blanched almond flour
- 0.67 cups raw honey
- 0.5 cups chopped walnuts , Optional
- 2 large eggs
- 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.25 cups coconut oil , warmed until liquid
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch cake pan and dust with almond flour.
-
2
Whisk almond flour, honey, walnuts, eggs, cocoa powder, coconut oil, and vanilla together in a large bowl. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth top.
-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until center is set and edges pull away from the sides of the pan, 20 to 25 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean or have a few moist crumbs attached.
