A Flaming Dr. Pepper is made by lighting a shot of rum and amaretto liqueur on fire before dropping it carefully into a glass of beer. It tastes just like Dr. Pepper itself, but be careful because the Bacardi 151 rum stands for 151 proof — that is why it is able to catch on fire!
Ingredients
- 1 cup beer
- 1 fluid ounce amaretto liqueur
- 0.25 fluids ounce 151 proof rum
Instructions
-
1
Fill a pint glass half full with beer.
-
2
Pour amaretto into a standard shot glass; pour rum on top so that it floats.
-
3
Light the shot on fire; carefully drop the lit shot into the half-full glass of beer and drink.

Coconut-Cream Cheese Frosting
I wanted a frosting for a coconut layer cake that stood up to a stronger flavor without overpowering it and without being too sweet. If frosting a layer cake, I recommend spreading melted apricot preserves over the center layer, along with some frosting.
