Summer camp inspired, no-bake golden grahams s'mores bars come together without an oven—or a campfire. Made with golden grahams cereal, marshmallows, and chocolate chips, they really bring the nostalgia. Similar to a rice krispy treat, these bars are low lift and high impact.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 bag milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips , 11 ounce
- 1 bag mini marshmallows , 10 ounce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 box graham cereal , 11 ounce
- salt , such as Maldon
Instructions
-
1
Gather all ingredients. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter.
-
2
In a heavy-bottomed pot or double boiler, melt remaining 1/2 cup butter.
-
3
Turn off heat; add chocolate chips and 3/4 of marshmallows. Stirring constantly, return to low heat to melt evenly. This may take 5 to 10 minutes.
-
4
Stir in vanilla extract and salt. Add golden grahams to a large bowl; pour in melted mixture and toss until well coated. Set aside a few marshmallows for topping, and stir in remaining marshmallows.
-
5
Press into the prepared baking dish, top with the last few marshmallows, and scatter over a pinch of flaky salt. Refrigerate until completely chilled, at least 1 hour.
-
6
Slice with a sharp knife to serve.

Bloody Broken Glass Cupcakes
I made these bloody broken glass cupcakes for my nephew's birthday. They turned out so creepy that I thought I would share them here for Halloween. I tried out a few different methods for sugar glass and included the method that produced the clearest glass for me.
Stoofperen met Rode Wijn (Red Wine-Poached Pears)
A simple, but delicious recipe for poached pears in red wine. You only need a handful of ingredients. You can eat the pears as a dessert, warm or cold, but in the Netherlands we traditionally eat stewed pears as a side dish for Christmas. I prefer them cold.
