These mashed potatoes with heavy cream are too fattening to have on a regular basis. I only make these on holidays, and everyone wonders what's in them that's makes them so rich.
Ingredients
- 5 pounds red potatoes , peeled and quartered
- 0.5 cups butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
-

Gather the ingredients.
-
2
Place potatoes into a large pot with enough water to cover; bring to a boil. Cook until fork tender, about 20 minutes. Drain.
-
3
Add butter to potatoes in the pot. Mash using a potato masher, ricer, or mixer until smooth. Gradually beat in heavy cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Mexican Shepherd's Pie
This is a Mexican version of the Shepherd's Pie that is so popular in the UK. I decided to try this one night when I did not have any mashed potatoes. Its cheap, quick and easy...and my kids loved it! Serve with a tossed green salad for a great family meal!
Grilled Jalapeño Poppers
These grilled jalapeño poppers are the best! They're stuffed with a creamy cheese filling, wrapped in bacon, and cooked until the jalapeños are tender and the bacon is crispy.

This chocolate glaze for cake is rich, decadent, and oh so easy! I use this glaze on brownies, Bundt cakes, ice cream, or whatever needs a little chocolate.
