This is an easy, hands-off recipe for Instant Pot wild rice. Just dump the ingredients in, set the timer, and let the pot do its thing. Feel free to use this recipe as a starting point and add your additional favorite seasonings. It is important to note that this recipe must be made with plain wild rice (not a wild rice blend or quick cooking wild rice), as it will not cook at the same amount of time otherwise.
Ingredients
- 1 cup wild rice
- 1.5 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon butter
Instructions
-
1
Place wild rice into the inner pot of a multi-functional electric pressure cooker (such as an Instant Pot®). Add chicken stock and butter to the pot.
-
2
Close and lock the pressure cooker lid, make sure the pressure/steam release switch is set to sealing, and set the cooking time to 30 minutes at high/normal pressure. It will take about 9 minutes for the pot to reach pressure before the cooking time begins. After the pressure cooking time ends, allow the pressure to release from the pot naturally for 10 minutes before releasing the remaining pressure using the manufacturer's quick release method.
-
3
Open the lid and fluff the rice gently with a fork.

Chad's Slow Cooker Taco Soup
This easy soup is hearty, yet extremely tasty. This is really a form of chili, but uses some ingredients not found in regular chili. Sure to be a hit, you can adjust the spice as needed by using varying levels of jalapenos and RO*TEL® varieties. Top with shredded sharp Cheddar cheese and/or sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips. Leftovers can be frozen and enjoyed later.
Smoked Asparagus
Love smoked foods? Love asparagus? I experimented while smoking a turkey breast and came up with this mild but flavorful asparagus and garlic dish made originally in an iron skillet on the top of the smoker. If you like asparagus, you will love this! So far, everyone has enjoyed it. I hope you do, too.
