This is a favorite in my house and preferred over restaurant steaks. You get the quality and benefits of a steak cooked in grass-fed butter right in your own home. Paleo, low-carb, ketogenic friendly.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin steak , at least 1-inch thick
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
-
1
Remove steak from the refrigerator at least 1 hour before cooking to allow it to come to room temperature. Season generously with salt and pepper.
-
2
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
-
3
Heat an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter. Sear steak for 2 minutes; flip and cook on the other side, 2 minutes more.
-
4
Place steak in the oven and cook for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on steak thickness and desired doneness. Let steak rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf
This is an adaptation of an old Armenian recipe, and this variation is so delicious I can't stop eating it. It's a great way to stretch expensive seasonal asparagus and pricey cashews. It's great as a side dish or as a vegetarian entree.
Pumpkin Cookies with Maple Icing
These pumpkin cookies with maple icing are a mix between a cake, bread, and a cookie! The best cookies I have ever had! Leftover cookies should be refrigerated in an airtight container and allowed to come to room temperature before serving.
Savory Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds that are crunchy and full of fall flavor. Very popular.
