This lemon tart has a homemade buttery crust with a sweet and tangy lemon filling made with lemon juice and zest for a vibrant dessert you'll never forget!
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups butter , softened
- 0.25 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a tart pan with a removable bottom or an 8-inch square baking dish.
-
2
To make the crust: Mix softened butter and confectioners' sugar together in a bowl until very smooth; stir in flour. Press dough into the prepared baking pan; pierce with a fork in several places to prevent crust from puffing up during baking.
-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until light golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool while you make the filling. Leave the oven on.
-
4
To make the filling: Whisk white sugar and eggs together in a bowl. Whisk in flour, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt until thoroughly combined; pour into cooled crust.
-
5
Bake until filling is set, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool completely, then dust with confectioners' sugar. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve chilled.

This chicken piccata with caper sauce is a quick and easy recipe.
Polish Potato Soup
What makes this Polish potato soup extraordinary is the addition of chopped dill pickle, pickle juice, and plenty of fresh dill. These ingredients, plus tangy sour cream, create a delicious, complex, comforting potato soup. I find it a comforting soup to eat, but the true comfort, the true relaxation comes from the process of making the soup.
The Best Beef Tri-Tip
This tri-tip recipe came about after I received a food wish for roast beef, which can be done with many different cuts. I ended up deciding on beef tri-tip since it's affordable, flavorful, great for parties, and using this low-temp roasting technique, nearly foolproof. No marinating, no searing, no nothing; just rub on some salt and spices and pop it into the oven until it reaches the doneness you want.
