A traditional English breakfast pancake. Roll up with sugar and lemon, or fill with your favorite cheese, lingonberries, or Nutella®! My kids love these!
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons butter , melted
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 dash vanilla extract , Optional
- 1 cup milk
- cooking spray , such as Pam®

Mix flour, 1 cup milk, and eggs together in a large bowl. Stir butter, sugar, and vanilla extract into flour mixture until smooth. Add remaining 1 cup milk; mix until just blended.

Heat a cast iron crepe pan over medium heat; spray surface with cooking spray. Pour a thin and even layer of batter onto the heated pan; fry for 30 to 60 seconds on each side. Repeat with remaining batter, spraying the pan between each batch.

Asian Flair Flat Iron Steak
One of our local food distributors has been promoting the sell of these becoming-ever-more-popular cuts of meat. After rummaging online recipes, and experimenting with my own, I came up with the following that my husband and I find quite tasty! You can also try cooking it in your indoor grill (we have a Foreman). Serve this over salad greens, or wrap in warm flour tortillas, adding a bit of your favorite Asian dressing.
Chef John's Black Lentil Soup
Use black beluga lentils for lentil soup instead of green. There's absolutely nothing wrong with green lentil soup, but once you start using black beluga lentils, you'll have a hard time going back. These beauties cook up melt-in-your-mouth tender but still retain their structural integrity, giving the soup a thick, satisfying body with a light, non-starchy mouthfeel.
Passover Charoset
Simple, quick, and tasty charoset for Passover that doesn't use wine. The apple, walnuts, honey, and cinnamon go together very well. Chop the apples and walnuts depending on how coarse or fine you like the texture. Add less grape juice to start - that way, you can add more to taste.
