World's Best Maine Whoopie Pies - Ayuh
Whoopie pies are one of those comfort foods that make you want more than one. They just don't get any better. Though whoopie pies can be delicious any old way... the preferred way to have them is about 5 to 10 minutes out of the freezer. Tall glass of milk and one of these Maine whoopie pies... you will not have a care in the world! The frosting is phenomenal, but make sure you remember that when making it, it will look like a real mess until you've beaten it on high for at least 5 minutes. Sometime after that it will become like nothing you've seen or eaten. This makes a big batch and is easily halved.
Grilled Chili Steak with Garlic-Lime Butter
As we head into grilling season, this is something you should definitely add to the rotation. New York strip steaks are dry-brined with a chili rub, grilled to perfection, and topped with a rich garlic-lime butter providing a flavor profile similar to that of a bowl of chili. Serve with a cold potato salad, baked or barbecued beans, or a green salad if desired.
Grilled Salmon
This grilled salmon tastes so good! A simple soy sauce and brown sugar marinade, with hints of lemon and garlic, are the perfect salty-sweet complement to rich salmon fillets. Even my 9-year-old loves this recipe!
