- 1.5 cups canning salt
- 0.33 cups brown sugar
- 0.25 cups Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper

Gather all ingredients.

Mix water, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and pepper together in a food-grade bucket or container large enough to hold your turkey.

Place turkey in brine, making sure it is fully submerged.

Cover and refrigerate. Soak for 12 to 24 hours before smoking or roasting.
