- 0.5 medium head cabbage , shredded
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 0.25 cups white sugar

Place cabbage in a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and mix to distribute. Let stand for 20 minutes, tossing with hands every few minutes.

Drain excess water from cabbage. Add vinegar and sugar. Mix well. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours.
