These Red Hot baked apples are an old-fashioned, oven-baked dessert that everybody loves. My mom always baked apples, but I added the Red Hots because I love them.
Ingredients
- 6 apples
- 0.5 cups packed brown sugar
- 0.33 cups Red Hot cinnamon candies
- 0.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
2
Remove and reserve apple tops, then remove all but the bottom 1/2 inch of the cores; arrange in a lightly greased 8-inch square pan.
-
3
Mix brown sugar, Red Hot cinnamon candies, and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Fill each apple with the mixture, then add apple tops; sprinkle remaining mixture over apples.
-
4
Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven until apples are tender, 30 to 35 minutes.

Homemade Dog Liver Bites
These chicken or beef liver dog treats are so easy to make with just five ingredients. I've been making these yummy bites for my dogs for over 20 years and have not yet had a complaint! These treats are great to have on hand for doggy visitors. They work well for concealing pills and can be crumbled onto regular dog food if your pooch has lost his appetite. Store extra bites in the refrigerator or freezer if you make a double batch.
Air Fryer Copycat Nacho Fries
Nacho fries may be on the Taco Bells menu one minute... gone the next, so I created an at-home version AND did it using the air fryer. If you are still inclined to deep-fry, double the amount of seasoning as most will get lost in the hot oil.
Fresh Berry Coffeecake
Fresh berry coffeecake recipes like this can use fresh raspberries or fresh blackberries for this tender and delicious treat. I prefer to toast my pecans in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes to really bring out their flavor.
