- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.33 cups shortening
- 0.5 cups milk
- 2 , 14.5 ounce

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until a stiff dough forms.

Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Cut into 1-inch squares, diamonds, or strips.

Bring chicken broth to a boil in a saucepan. Carefully add dumplings and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover tightly and cook until tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
