Eating the skin of apples provides about twice the anti-cancer activity as eating only the pulp, Cornell University studies show. That's why this recipe says not to peel the apple. You may wonder about the hefty amount of fat in each serving. Don't: 90% of it is good monounsaturated fat from avocado and pecans.

Warm Broccoli Caesar Salad
This warm broccoli Caesar salad is the ideal hearty salad for colder months. Bacon and Parmesan cheese add a nice salty element while toasted breadcrumbs emulate the croutons normally used in a Caesar salad. The dressing, quickly blended using hard-cooked eggs, is creamy, delicious, and surprisingly light.

A traditional fish and brewis dish from the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador. Definitely not for anyone on a low-fat or low-sodium diet. Delicious as all get-out! Accompany with boiled lemony peas or your favorite steamed vegetable.
Mushroom Blue Cheese Turkey Burgers
These are delicious turkey burgers that my kids even love. I make them more than I make beef patties. You would never know that you are using turkey instead of beef. Fabulous and very easy. Serve on toasted buns.
