After having these shrimp as an appetizer at a restaurant, I have been trying to duplicate the recipe. Serve these "shrimpcargot" with bread to mop up the extra yummy garlic butter!
Ingredients
- 0.25 cups butter
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 6 peeleds and deveined large shrimp , 21 to 25 per lb
- 6 mushrooms , stems removed
- 2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
-
2
Heat butter and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until butter begins to bubble. Add shrimp; cook until they just turn pink, about 3 minutes. Place 1 shrimp into each mushroom cap; place mushroom caps into a small baking dish. Spoon garlic butter into mushroom caps; sprinkle each with mozzarella cheese.
-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until mushrooms are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly, 10 to 15 minutes.

Nanny's Newfoundland Tea Biscuits
My nanny used to make these tea biscuits all the time. One of my favorite memories of visiting Newfoundland is standing at the kitchen table as she made these and gave us a little bit of the raw dough to taste. They're light and delicious! Serve hot with butter and jam.
