This slow cooker jalapeno chicken has a salty-sweet sauce that gets its heat from fresh jalapenos. Serve it over rice.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds skinless , boneless chicken thighs
- 1 onion
- 3 jalapenos
- 3 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cups soy sauce
- 0.5 cups brown sugar
- 0.25 cups water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 greens onions , sliced

Combine chicken, onions, jalapenos, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, black pepper, and salt in a slow cooker. Cover with lid and cook on Low for 4 hours.

Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Slowly add to the slow cooker, stirring until well combined and the sauce begins to thicken.

Garnish with green onions.
