This slow cooker lemon chicken recipe uses seasoned, browned chicken breasts, lemon juice, garlic, and chicken bouillon. A wonderful fix-and-forget recipe that is easy and pleases just about everyone. Great served with rice or pasta, or even alone.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoons salt
- 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 pounds skinless , boneless chicken breast halves
- 0.25 cups water
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

Gather all ingredients.

Mix together oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub spice mixture all over chicken breasts. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Cook chicken in butter until lightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side.

Place chicken in a slow cooker.

Mix water, lemon juice, garlic, and bouillon in the same skillet; bring to boil.

Pour mixture over chicken in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or High for 3 hours. Add parsley to the slow cooker 15 to 30 minutes before the end of cook time.
