This sour cream ganache makes a super easy frosting that is great for when you have leftover sour cream in the fridge and chocolate chips on hand — delicious over almond-flavored cupcakes!
Ingredients
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1.5 cups sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
1
Place chocolate chips into a glass or metal bowl, and set over the top of a pan of barely simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and transfer chocolate to a medium bowl.
-
2
Add sour cream and vanilla; beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. If you let it cool down too much, it will set up; so frost your cake while it is still liquid, or reheat before using.

Chicken Vegetable Barley Soup
This chicken vegetable soup is hearty and has great flavor. I like barley in soups instead of rice, and this is a great use of barley.

When lemon meringue pie and lemon bars collide with fresh blueberries, wonderful things happen.
Rhubarb Poppy Seed Muffins
These rhubarb muffins toe the line between muffin and cupcake–but are delicious nonetheless. The vanilla-poppy seed muffin base contrasts nicely with the tart rhubarb.
