Simple BBQ Ribs
This BBQ ribs recipe may be different than others you've tried, but for super tender ribs, give it a try! Lean, country-style pork ribs are boiled in seasoned water until tender, then finished up in the oven under a blanket of your favorite barbecue sauce as they bake to perfection. That's it! Back to simplicity, back to country life.
Corned Venison
This is a delicious way to utilize the shoulders of deer or elk. The process takes a little time but is well worth it. The curing gets rid of the gamey flavor of the venison. You may add one tablespoon of pickling spice if desired for a more intense flavor.
Spicy Dill Pickles
This spicy dill pickle recipe is not for the faint of heart — the brine adds a nice kick! They're perfect for burgers and hoagies. They'll keep in the refrigerator for a few months. If you like pickled peppers, the same recipe can be used with peppers instead of pickles.
