These strawberry churro roll ups are the best. They are like a fancy version of a French toast stick, but much easier to make and just as tasty. Serve with strawberry syrup for dipping.
Ingredients
- 12 slices Hawaiian , brioche, or white sandwich bread
- 6 tablespoons cream cheese , 3 ounces
- 0.25 cups strawberry jelly
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 0.25 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- strawberry syrup , optional

Gather all ingredients.

Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin until about 1/8-inch thick.

Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of cream cheese and 1 teaspoon of jelly on one bread slice in a straight line about 1-inch away from one side of the bread.

Starting with the side closest to the filling, roll the bread up and set aside, seam side down. Repeat with remaining bread, cream cheese, and jelly.

In a shallow bowl whisk together eggs and milk. In another shallow bowl combine sugar and cinnamon.

Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over low heat, Coat bread rolls in egg mixture. Place 6 roll-ups in skillet, seam side down and cook until golden brown on all sides, turning occasionally, 4 to 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining butter and roll-ups.

Transfer warm roll-ups to cinnamon-sugar mixture and roll to coat.

Serve with strawberry syrup, if desired.
