The sweet and savory mixture this brisket simmers in sounds weird, but it is actually very good. You can add potatoes and carrots during the last couple of hours if you want. This is a good recipe if you aren't going to be home all day to watch it.

Bird's Nest Salad
This salad has all the food groups represented (bell peppers are actually a type of fruit) and would be an adorable addition to an Easter brunch. Garnish with buttered slices of crusty pumpernickel bread.
Spinach and Mushroom Salad
This spinach and mushroom salad recipe includes a warm and slightly tangy bacon dressing. It's one of my family's favorite ways to enjoy a spinach salad.
