Beef and Pork Guiso
My girlfriend's mom, Mama, makes this incredible guiso (stew) once a year and often includes it in a more intricate recipe, which doesn't allow us to appreciate the value of the guiso as is. It is good by itself, with rice or pasta, or with chips. I love it because it's awesome, incredible, and delicious.
Extra Dark Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel Sauce
This extra dark chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce has a subtle spice which recalls the flavor of sheet cake. It is extremely rich, so be prepared to make your slices small! Delicious with a tawny port!
Salmon Terrine
In this salmon terrine recipe, salmon, butter, Dijon mustard, and fresh tarragon are just some of what make a traditional French fare so delicious. This no-bake version is more like a spread, which is perfect for casual parties, and you can make it in any kind of crock or bowl. Pair it with toasted baguette slices for an appetizer or eat it as a salad.
