My husband's co-worker made us these whiskey paralyzer cocktails one night. This recipe is a variation of a paralyzer. They go down much smoother, too, so you might not feel your legs after a few of these!
Ingredients
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 0.5 cups root beer
- 1 fluid ounce Canadian whiskey , such as Crown Royal
- 1 fluid ounce Kahlua or other coffee flavored liqueur
- 2 fluids ounces milk
Instructions
-
1
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add root beer, Canadian whiskey, and coffee liqueur. Slowly pour in milk so it does not curdle; stir gently. Enjoy immediately.

Squash and Apple Soup
This is just one of the butternut squash soup recipes I have, but I love this version with apples. It's different and just really delicious.
Fresh Mozzarella Pasta Salad
This fresh mozzarella pasta salad is a take on a traditional caprese, modified into a light summer pasta salad. It goes great with anything from the grill, or on its own. When I eat it on its own, I sometimes add about one cup of any cold sausage, chunked (I suggest pepperoni or a lighter summer sausage). Any pasta is fine, but I like the orzo's size.
Cranberry-Oatmeal Muffins with Applesauce
These cranberry-oatmeal muffins are a yummy, not-too-sweet, morning treat with the perfect combination of grainy goodness and tart berries.
